Small-Lot Duplex Excavation Project |
Nampa, July 2020

The lot where the duplex was to be situated was formerly someone’s back yard. They decided to split it to make a compact, but buildable 60’x120′ multi-family lot.  The lot was flat which was really good, but there was not a lot of room for error on the sides of where the foundation was to be poured!

Our work began by clearing brush and other vegetation. We followed by building a fence around the perimeter of the property using metal posts and cedar pickets.  Then, we started the dig out. Since there was little room on site to store extra dirt, most of the fill had to be removed in multiple trips using a dump trailer and much of it staged between where the stem walls would be placed. However, the job was a success!
