Foundation Drain Installation During New Construction Backfill and Grading |

In a new residential subdivision, we were called to complete the backfill and install a foundation drain system in a new home. We dug out a space for the foundation drain sump and backfilled it with gravel after placing perforated lines and fabric around the perimeter of the foundation.
Then we proceeded to backfill and grade the ground around the foundation with the proper slope. This particular lot was situated on what’s called “pit run,” which consists of dirt mixed with rocks up to six inches in diameter. Working this lot was tough on both machine and operator due to the pit run, but we got the job done with great results!
